The 1000 S is fitted with the most powerful (117-hp) inline twin ever produced. Measuring 999cc, this fuel-injected twin funnels its power through a close ratio six-speed gearbox. A quick look at the chassis reveals a unique dual tube bridge frame made of highly stable chromium molybdenum steel and high-pressure castings. On the rear, MZ has chosen a dual-cantilever swingarm made of highly stable aluminum alloy. Of course, the 1000S is adorned with fully adjustable suspensions and a state of the art Nissin braking system. Rigid, stable and a built lasting quality, each of these carefully calibrated components combine to give the 1000 S a magical allure. One ride will instantly prove the MZ 1000S is balanced and carefully engineered, but make no mistake; it is extremely fast.
